The cosy country-style kitchen has had a makeover: In place of over-the-top rusticity and heavy oak panelling, contemporary country style is light, airy and elegant. However, the links with the past are plain to see in the skilful carpentry and the deliberate choice of traditional style elements. Miele country-style kitchen L 59 is based on a double edge frame design with high quality pilaster side panels. A strong design feature is the angled lower edge on worktops, cornices and shelves. Profiled rear and side panels are used to create accents. However the most striking stylistic element is the glazed wall unit which pro-vides the foundation for a host of interesting furniture combinations.

Miele country-style kitchen offers a choice of three different worktop styles. In the 6 cm thickness there are the much loved lami-nate worktops with edges in the same colour as the front, as well as double thickness solid wood and natural stone worktops. There are a number of possibilities when it comes to the glazed doors on the wall units. The choice ranges from plain glass with or without bevelled edges, slatted doors, textured glass or even sandwich panes that en-close delicate fabrics to conceal the cupboard contents. There is also a choice of three door handle styles: a diamond shaped handle that picks up on the double edge theme of the frame design, a simple round knob and a traditional onset handle. The Miele country-style kitchen is lent a particularly elegant character thanks to the matt structured lacquer used for the fronts. It is available in cream, grey or sand beige
